5 Little Pigs
The birth of 5 Little Pigs began just over 3 years ago. After working for many different establishments over a 30 year span Linda and myself decided now was the time to give it a good hard go. Fresh at the Bay was for sale and this establishment was in a prime location.
The hardest decision was a new name for a new beginning. Linda came up with 5 Little Pigs - it is us all over. We have 5 beautiful children, who all appreciate good food and we love spending time together as a family.
5 Little Pigs' philosophy is to supply good quality food, great coffee and a happy atmosphere. Most of all we pride ourselves on being consistent with our standards in all areas - food, coffee and service. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the same quality, or better, of many great cafés in Sydney and Melbourne. We use local fresh food and local suppliers whenever possible. Our coffee is a locally roasted, organic fair-trade coffee and our waste is collected by locals for use as compost.
We are very proud of all our staff who share the same passion for food and coffee as we do. Without them our business wouldn't quite be the same.

Meet the locals
Always having a passion for food, I always knew I wanted to be a chef. At 16 I landed an apprenticeship with Alfred Trindorfor (Friday) who was a great chef from Sydney and a talent beyond his years. The journey began at the once very successful and always busy Sanctuary Restaurant, where I gained extensive knowledge under the wings of Friday. On Friday's departure from The Sanctuary I grabbed the reins with both hands and was Head Chef for 2 years.
I was approached by the Old Butter Factory Restaurant to come onboard. After staying with them for 6 years I decided to take a small break and then decided my passion was in café's. I joined the team at River Deli which is where I gained valuable experience in running a very busy café and the love of fast pace, quality food. We sourced a variety of our food from local suppliers. This is where my love of a good coffee began as well. During my time with the River Deli I gained immense knowledge and experience in the catering side of hospitality.
After a 6 year stint at the River Deli I was approached by Belinda and Glenda Bunter from Supply Jervis Bay to come on board. I accepted and felt very proud of what Supply became. On the decision of Belinda and Glenda to sell Supply we decided that it was time for us to become our own boss and run our own café. So the seed was planted and the story of 5 Little Pigs began.
